What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? One of the technologies I almost forgot for was Paint as without it I would not have been able to create the interesting design for the background of my cover page.In regards to the technologies that I have used in the process of constructing my music magazine I have learnt alot about the how they work and what features of these technologies are suitable for the different tasks that I would be undertaking in the process of creating my magazine.
How did you attract/address your audience?

How does your media product represent particular social groups? As the main focus of my music magazine is the main character J-max who is a Rock musician who is about to go on tour. So this makes him the logical choice to represent a social group. In this case I tried to focus on the target audience as relating the main character to the audience that listen and read about rock music would result in more sale of my magazine. I decided that the best way to do this was to focus on the mise en scene in regards to the main character. So I selected some cloths that he and I both agreed meet some of the rock music conventions and began to shoot some pictures. Although I did have some reservations abou the choice of clothing it was however the only arrangment of cloths that we could both agree on. But the combination of the shirt and jeans does work well to match the genre of a rock star at home as you don't wear your stage cloths at home do you. I might have changed the tyle of clothing a little as I feel that rock musicians would probably wear something a little darker when in a interview, but as this was set at his famly home it makes sense that he would be wearing more casual rather then practical clothing. This represents a social group as The next area I addressed was the the selection of an Instrument as alot of the rock music magazines have instruments in the pictures with the musician to give the feel of action and movement. In stereotypical terms my represents both the mainstream stereotypes through its use of casual clothing and active possess which might appeal to both the Casuals and Ravers of the teenager stereotypes. The alternatives stereotypes are also represented as my character wears up to date clothing and has spiked gelled hair and follow the conventions of other magazines such as Kerrang which means it also represents although subtly Scene kids and Metal heads.
My music magazine matches up well with existing media as like most magazines in the most magazines in the rock music genre it has a clear focal point in the form of the main character who is in the centre of the front cover, and double page spread as well as my use of a mast head and a bar code which are typical of the magazine conventions. My magazine developes some of these typical conventions in particular the style of background I have chosen for my main character to stand against as I have chosen to use a black background with red effects. I chose this background for my front cover as it made the main character stand out from the background this was to show that he is the focal point of my magazine and to stop him having less of a impact like in other magazines. Such as the Kerrang magazine cover bellow as my eye is drawn first to the text in the center of the cover page before enything else. My final magazine has developed a lot more then draft piece as the Draft piece followed a restricted number of the conventions linked to this genre even though it's basic structure was build on existing media text. I used alot more of the conventions used in ------ magazine in the creation of my draft. Which after analysing my draft I decided to remove some of the conventions as I felt they did not match the genre of the text that I was trying to create.
